Overhead Door Company of Toledo was started in Toledo, Ohio, by Ray Whimmer as a garage door company. Today, under the leadership of fourth generation family member and company president Michael Huss, we bring commercial and residential projects to life using the best service and the highest-quality products.
Our extensive 10,000-square-foot showroom enables our customers to make informed decisions and experience our solutions in person. From first ideas to final installation, the Overhead team has expert employees who are dedicated to providing comfortable, stylish, and reliable solutions for both home and commercial needs. Our experience and distinct knowledge allows us to provide you the best value and trusted, professional service.

We provide installation as well as repair and maintenance, even if we didn’t initially install your garage doors or fireplace.
Our foundation in garage door sales and service makes us one of the oldest garage door companies in Northwest Ohio. Through the years, we have expanded our capabilities to meet the needs of our customers.

Our 10,000-Square-Foot Showroom
In 1996, we opened our Toledo showroom to showcase our extensive offering of residential and commercial products. Having a site where customers could experience our brands first-hand and seek professional assistance from our knowledgeable sales staff grew our reputation in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan for being the provider of building solutions under one roof.
To keep up with customer requests for service beyond the Toledo area, we expanded to Sandusky, Ohio, in 2007. Fireside Hearth & Home of Sandusky became our second showroom, showcasing our garage door and fireplace products. And in 2023, we added Fireside Hearth & Home of Findlay, to offer quality garage door and fireplace solutions for both home and business owners in the communities surrounding Findlay, Ohio.
By 2016, we realized our Toledo location needed a new space to accommodate our growing product lines and in 2017, we opened a larger, all-inclusive showroom at 340 New Towne Square Drive to better display our home and building solutions. This remains Overhead Inc.’s home base today, and we continually update products to showcase the newest and best products available.
