• Sandusky Door & Hearth – Sandusky Door & Hearth expands the service area of the garage door and fireplace divisions, offering professional assistance at our Sandusky, Ohio showroom.

Family Owned

Overhead Door Company of Toledo was started in 1932 in Toledo, Ohio, by Ray Whimmer as a garage door company. Today, under the leadership of 4th generation family member and company president Michael Huss, Overhead Inc. is much more than garage doors. 

The Overhead team has expert employees who are dedicated to providing comfortable, stylish, and reliable solutions for both home and commercial needs. Our experience and distinct knowledge allows us to provide you the best value and trusted, professional service.

Our 10,000 Square Foot Expansive Showroom

In 1996, we opened our Toledo showroom to showcase our extensive offering of residential or commercial products. Having a site where customers could experience our brands first-hand and seek professional assistance from our knowledgeable sales staff grew our reputation for providing home solutions under one roof. 

To keep up with customer requests for service beyond the Toledo area, we expanded to Sandusky, Ohio and opened a second showroom in 2007, Sandusky Door & Hearth, showcasing our garage door and fireplace divisions. We have also added Findlay Door & Hearth to offer quality garage door solutions for both home and business owners in Findlay, Ohio.

By 2016, we realized our Toledo location needed a new space to accommodate our growing product lines and in 2017, we opened a larger, all-inclusive showroom to better display our home and building solutions.
